VSS-4

This is my fourth VSS (Very Short Story), Hope you liked the previous ones.

As usual comments and feedback invited.

"One Night Stand" viewers can relate better.

Only difference being, our "stand-up comedian" was a "Hero".

On the HOT chair,

He joked loud about not daring to buy the "packet" at the med store, laughed out the curse made to his "neighbour" over shared toothpaste and confessed the creepy proposal he made to "the gal" armed with a rusted borrowed ring.

I smiled, the "neighbour" laughed and "the gal" gave a wide blush at the camera.

Amidst the giggles, my signal brought everything to silence, and the mood changed.

Gloomy eyes stared at our hero ; and were finally answered. Expressions strengthened at the slow punctuated references. Its wasnt comedy any more, and before feelings could get better, tears overtook him.

He got a standing ovation and applause, and hugging friends comforted him aside.

And then, suddenly laughs were overheard,

Oh! our next comedian is up....!!
