VSS-6

This is my sixth VSS (Very Short Story). Hope you liked the previous ones.
As usual comments and feedback invited.

====================

An adrenaline rush, followed by a dash and there you are.

Just Arrived.

Souls surround you. You put up a smile of satisfaction, followed by a grin and then dawns the "purpose".

The ground trembles beneath your feet, but you stand undaunted.

You survey the scene with a sense of eagerness. Looking around for "opportunities".

A short intuitive analysis coupled with prior experience draws your attention to the three people huddled at the end.

"ARE YOU WATCHING CLOSELY ? "

A guy in blue, a lady in uniform and a Sahib in formals.

The guy pulls out a cigarette, and burns your hopes. Recollect Rule #6 - A relaxed guy with a cigarette, assumes a buffered uninterrupted time of atleast 7 minutes.

The uniform is adorned with a company badge. You attempt a piercing look at it. To decipher the corporation. However , the faded colours betray you and success seems far. Also no characteristic accessory supports you.

The Sahib works at an organization. Red betel in his tongue confirms it a "Sarkari". A rugged suitcase and a "file" accompany him.

Recollect Rule #11- Any official papers associated with a Govt. employee throws more light than any other Rules.

You read the "file " cover. Beginning with a breathtaking speed but the local language snailing you down. Lack of any vocabulary mocks your understanding.
You feel piqued.

Suddenly you notice "it". You draw close to the "Subject".

In a minute, the Sahib wakes up and you take his place.

You sigh, " the whole cycle was worth it..!"

After all, its still 34.19 minutes left to reach Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus (Main) .

========

ps: This story is Post-Titled: "Capturing a seat".

pps: Post-Title(def): A title given to a piece of prose/poetry only after it is read , in order to retain its suspense.

Update : Here is an interesting slideshow on the topic by a friend of mine.

You have to express more your opinion to attract more readers, because just a video or plain text without any personal approach is not that valuable. But it is just form my point of view
